These Terms of Service apply to browser-based applications, account services, user-space features, and their supporting APIs owned and operated by Behvolt Systems Ltd. ("Behvolt", "we", "us", or "our"), including services at apps.behvolt.com, auth.behvolt.com, my.behvolt.com, and api.behvolt.com. By using these services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
Behvolt product websites, online stores, paid offerings, and third-party services may be governed by separate or additional terms presented with those services.
About Behvolt
Behvolt Systems Ltd. is a company registered in Taiwan. It owns and operates the Behvolt web applications and account services described in these terms. BEHVOLT® and the Behvolt logo are registered trademarks of Behvolt Systems Ltd.
Intended Use
Behvolt web applications are provided to assist with configuring, monitoring, or operating supported Behvolt products. They must be used only with compatible products, firmware versions, interfaces, and documentation.
Local Features and Optional Accounts
Basic local features of the ACOUAI Tool and SUNMOD may be used without an account. Local features may use browser capabilities to communicate directly with a compatible device, microphone, or file selected by you. You control whether to grant browser permissions and whether to save or export local data.
An account is required only for features identified as account or cloud features, including Behvolt user space, cloud storage, synchronization, or sharing. Creating an account does not cause local application data to be uploaded automatically; an upload or cloud-save action must be deliberately selected.
Accounts and Account Security
You must provide accurate information, keep it reasonably current, and be legally able to accept these terms. If you use the services for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.
You are responsible for protecting your sign-in credentials and for activity performed through your account. Do not share credentials or allow unauthorized access. Notify Behvolt promptly if you suspect that an account or credential has been compromised. We may require email verification, recovery checks, reauthentication, or other reasonable security measures. Automated account and security messages may be sent from no-reply@behvolt.com; this address is not monitored, so questions should be sent to contact@behvolt.com.
Communications
Messages necessary to operate or secure your account or provide a requested service are service communications and are not optional marketing. Newsletters and other promotional communications are optional and are sent only when you subscribe. You may unsubscribe at any time through your account preferences or an unsubscribe link in a marketing email without affecting essential service communications.
Your Content and User Space
You retain ownership of files, configurations, audio, firmware, and other content you upload or create ("User Content"). You grant Behvolt and its service providers a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit, process, display, and otherwise handle User Content only as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and support the features you request. This licence ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to reasonable backup, security, and legal-retention periods.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload, process, or share User Content. Do not upload unlawful content, malware, secrets or sensitive personal data that are unnecessary for the selected service, or material that infringes another person's rights.
You control sharing settings and are responsible for selecting the correct recipients and permissions. A recipient may retain a copy of content that you shared even after you later remove access. Behvolt does not guarantee that uploaded files are scanned for malware or suitable for any particular device or purpose.
Storage, Deletion, and Data Export
Storage capacity, file-size limits, supported formats, retention periods, and other technical limits may be stated in the applicable application or documentation and may change for operational or security reasons. Deleted content may remain in Trash for up to 30 days before permanent deletion and may remain for a limited period in backups or records where reasonably necessary or legally required.
You are responsible for maintaining any backup or export you require. If Behvolt plans to discontinue an account or cloud feature, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to export affected User Content where reasonably practicable, unless immediate action is required for security, legal, or technical reasons.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Selecting the correct product and firmware version.
- Following the applicable product documentation and safety instructions.
- Checking configuration values before writing them to a device.
- Ensuring that you understand the effect of manually controlling device outputs.
- Using compatible, properly installed, and properly maintained equipment.
Incorrect settings, unsupported hardware, or improper output control may cause unexpected device operation or damage. Do not use an application to control equipment unless you understand the connected device and its operating requirements.
Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Use the services unlawfully, fraudulently, or to infringe another person's rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to an account, service, device, repository, network, or data.
- Introduce malware or use the services to distribute malicious, unsafe, or deceptive content.
- Bypass access controls, security checks, rate limits, storage limits, or technical restrictions.
- Interfere with service operation or probe, scan, or test systems without Behvolt's prior written authorization.
- Use automated activity that places an unreasonable load on the services or adversely affects other users.
Good-faith security research is permitted only under a Behvolt vulnerability-disclosure policy or prior written authorization applicable to the relevant system.
Availability and Compatibility
Application availability and compatibility may depend on your browser, operating system, USB or serial adapter, device firmware, network connection, and security settings. Behvolt does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability or compatibility with every system configuration.
We may change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue a feature to maintain security, comply with law, address misuse, or improve or retire the service. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of a material change that significantly reduces an account or cloud feature.
Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the services at any time and may request account closure. Behvolt may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected compromise, protect users or systems, prevent prohibited use, comply with law, or address a material breach of these terms. We may terminate an account for a material or repeated breach after reasonable notice where appropriate.
On termination, your right to use the affected account features ends. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limitations, and governing law—remain effective. Handling of personal data and remaining User Content is described in the Privacy Notice and applicable retention policy.
Intellectual Property
Behvolt web applications, branding, documentation, visual designs, and associated materials are owned by Behvolt Systems Ltd. or used under license. Subject to these terms, Behvolt grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the applications for their intended purpose with supported products.
These terms do not transfer ownership of your User Content to Behvolt. Feedback or suggestions you voluntarily provide may be used by Behvolt without restriction or payment, provided that this does not grant Behvolt ownership of your underlying User Content or personal data.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Except for warranties expressly provided with an applicable Behvolt product, the applications are provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Behvolt disclaims warranties that are not expressly stated, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Behvolt is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss resulting from misuse, unsupported hardware, incorrect configuration, unauthorized modification, or use contrary to the applicable documentation.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

The applications may link to third-party websites or services. Behvolt is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices.

Information about data handling is provided in the Behvolt Web Applications Privacy Notice.
Changes to These Terms
Behvolt may update these terms when its applications, services, or applicable requirements change. The latest version and its effective date will be published on this page. Changes apply prospectively from the stated effective date.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). This choice of law does not deprive consumers of any mandatory protections provided by the laws applicable in their place of residence.
