Language notice: Translations may be provided by your browser or another third party for convenience only. If a translated version differs from the original English text, the English version prevails.

This notice explains how Behvolt Systems Ltd. ("Behvolt", "we", "us", or "our") handles personal data when you use Behvolt web applications, account services, user space, and supporting APIs, including apps.behvolt.com, auth.behvolt.com, my.behvolt.com, and api.behvolt.com. Behvolt Systems Ltd., a company registered in Taiwan, is the controller of personal data described in this notice unless another notice says otherwise.

Behvolt product websites, online stores, and third-party websites have their own privacy notices. This notice is intended to provide clear information across jurisdictions; particular rights and legal bases apply according to the law governing you. It does not by itself guarantee compliance with every law in every country.

Privacy at a Glance

SUNMOD Configuration Tool

The SUNMOD Configuration Tool operates locally in your browser. Communication with your SUNMOD device occurs directly through the Web Serial interface. Device readings, configuration values, communication logs, status snapshots, and imported or exported settings files are processed locally and are not transmitted to Behvolt. When you save a file, the application writes only to the location you select through your browser or uses your browser’s standard download mechanism.

When you deliberately save a communication log, system-status snapshot, or settings file, the exported file may include basic diagnostic information such as the application name and version, export date and time, time zone, selected product, detected firmware version, browser name and version, operating-system information available to the browser, selected color theme, and device operating mode. This information helps identify the environment in which the file was created. The application does not intentionally include your IP address, device name, account information, hardware identifiers, or the browser’s complete user-agent string in these exports.

This information is not automatically sent to Behvolt. You decide whether to save an export on your machine, where to save it when your browser supports location selection, and whether to keep, delete, or voluntarily share it.

This application does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. It uses browser local storage only to remember the color-theme preference selected for this application.

Limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, access time, and requested pages, may be processed to deliver, secure, and maintain the service.

Links to other websites, including Behvolt product and contact pages, are governed by the privacy notices of those websites.

ACOUAI Tool

You may use the basic local features of the ACOUAI Tool without signing up or signing in. Audio, microphone input, connected-device data, keyword-spotting settings, selected firmware files, and other working data used by these features are processed locally in your browser. Unsaved working data normally remains only for the browser session. Files or settings you export are saved only through your browser to a location you choose.

Access to a microphone or compatible device requires permission through browser interfaces such as WebHID. You can revoke browser permissions using your browser or operating-system settings. Behvolt does not receive locally processed content merely because you grant that permission.

If you sign in and deliberately use a cloud feature, Behvolt processes the data necessary to provide it. This may include uploaded audio or firmware files, filenames, file types and sizes, keyword-spotting configurations, timestamps, ownership and sharing information, and technical metadata. We do not save local ACOUAI Tool content to your Behvolt user space unless you choose an action that does so. Data you voluntarily send to support is handled for that support request.

Planned optional model generation: This feature is not currently implemented. If introduced, the ACOUAI Tool may derive selected features from your voice locally in the browser and send those derived features to Behvolt cloud services only when you explicitly request model generation and separately agree to the upload. Raw voice recordings will remain in your browser unless a future feature gives you a separate, clear choice to upload them. Before enabling either type of upload, we will explain the data involved, purpose, retention, model use, and available deletion or withdrawal choices. We will not use voice data or derived voice features to train general Behvolt AI models without a separate explicit agreement.

Accounts, Sign-up, and Sign-in

When you create or use a Behvolt account, we process your email address, password credentials through our authentication provider, first name, acceptance of applicable legal terms, and account and verification status. You may also provide a last name, company, country or region, preferred units, newsletter preference, and data-improvement preference. We keep a record of required legal acceptances, including the applicable document version and time of acceptance.

If you use an available third-party sign-in option, the provider may send us an account identifier and profile information such as your name and email address, subject to the permission screen and that provider's privacy notice. Account confirmation, sign-in, password recovery, security notifications, and service communications may be sent by email. Automated account messages may be sent from no-reply@behvolt.com. This address is not monitored; use contact@behvolt.com for questions or assistance.

Newsletter and Marketing Communications

You may optionally subscribe to Behvolt newsletters through your account dashboard or a Behvolt website. We process your email address, subscription preference, and records of consent or withdrawal to manage the shared Behvolt newsletter subscription and demonstrate that communications were requested. We may use an email-delivery provider acting on our behalf to send and administer these messages.

You can unsubscribe at any time through your account preferences, an unsubscribe link included in a newsletter, or by contacting us. Withdrawal applies to future marketing communications and does not affect prior lawful processing. It also does not stop essential account, transaction, security, legal, or service messages. We may retain a minimal suppression record after unsubscribe to respect your choice and avoid sending further marketing messages.

User Space and Cloud Data

Your Behvolt user space may contain profile details, preferences, application configurations, uploaded files, generated artifacts, sharing permissions, recipient email addresses, and activity needed to display and manage your content. Content remains private unless you choose to share it or a feature clearly states otherwise. Please do not upload personal, confidential, or sensitive information that is unnecessary for the service you selected.

Deleted files may remain in Trash for up to 30 days before permanent deletion. Limited copies may persist for a further period in backups, security records, or service-provider systems where reasonably necessary or legally required. To request closure of an account or deletion that is not available through the user interface, contact us.

How and Why We Process Data

Depending on the feature and applicable law, we process personal data to perform our agreement with you; provide accounts, applications, storage, sharing, support, and requested communications; comply with legal obligations; and pursue legitimate interests in securing, operating, diagnosing, and improving our services. We rely on consent where required, including for optional newsletters or optional data-improvement participation. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already performed lawfully.

We receive data directly from you, from your browser or device when necessary for a requested feature, and from authentication or service providers you choose. Limited server and security records may include IP address, browser and device information, requested resource, date and time, authentication outcome, error details, and indicators of suspected abuse. We use these records to operate the service, investigate failures and attacks, protect users and systems, and meet applicable security obligations.

Cookies and Local Storage

Behvolt uses an essential, secure session cookie to keep you signed in and protect authenticated requests. Short-lived cookies or similar mechanisms may also be used for account confirmation, recovery, and third-party sign-in flows. These are necessary for the feature you request and are not used for advertising. Sessions expire after configured inactivity and absolute time limits and may end earlier when you sign out or for security reasons.

Applications may use browser local storage for preferences such as color theme and to remember that an essential-cookie notice was acknowledged. We do not currently use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies in these web applications. Our abuse-prevention provider may process technical information or use strictly necessary browser storage when a security check is displayed.

Service Providers and International Processing

We disclose data only as needed to providers supporting hosting, authentication, databases and object storage, email delivery, abuse prevention, and any third-party sign-in method you select. Current provider categories include hosting services, Supabase, Cloudflare Turnstile, email delivery providers, and selected identity providers. They may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we use contractual or other recognised safeguards for international transfers. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users, Behvolt, or others.

Retention

We retain account and cloud data while your account is active or as needed to provide a requested feature. We retain legal-acceptance records, security and operational logs, support correspondence, and limited backup copies only for periods reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and service continuity. Retention may vary by data type and applicable law. Data is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer needed, subject to technical and legal limitations.

Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the service, including encrypted transport, access controls, protected sessions, input and artifact validation, rate and resource limits, logging, dependency review, and vulnerability handling. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your Choices and Rights

You can use local application features without creating an account, choose whether to upload or share data, manage browser permissions, change optional preferences, and sign out to end the active browser session. Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to the competent data-protection authority. Where applicable, you also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right. Because we do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, there is no sale or advertising-sharing opt-out to exercise for these applications.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some requests may be limited where retention or processing is required by law, necessary to protect other people, or permitted by an applicable exemption. Contact us to exercise a right or ask about applicable transfer safeguards.
