# Behvolt SUNMOD Configuration Tool

The SUNMOD Configuration Tool is a static web application that connects directly to supported Behvolt SUNMOD modules through the browser's Web Serial API. Device communication remains local between the browser and the selected serial port; the application has no configuration backend.

Supported device profiles:

- SUNMOD03PU identifiers `01F1.6`, `01F1.7`, `01G1.7`, `01G1.8`, and `01G1.9`.
- The identifier format is two product-code digits, one PCB-version letter, and a dotted firmware revision. Product code `01` identifies SUNMOD03PU.
- All five supported identifiers use protocol 1.7 and expose the same commands, capabilities, Battery/Panel/Load settings, and UI.
- Firmware discovery requires an exact complete identifier. Legacy `V…` firmware strings and aliases are unsupported.

The current serial configuration is 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, one stop bit, and no flow control. The application requires a secure context and a browser/platform combination that exposes Web Serial. Current Chrome or Microsoft Edge is recommended on desktop. Mobile compatibility depends on browser Web Serial support, USB host/OTG support, and the connected USB-to-UART bridge. iPhone and iPad browsers are not supported because they do not expose Web Serial.

Use the public documentation below for customer-facing application behavior and compatibility information. Do not infer support for unlisted products, firmware versions, browsers, commands, or firmware-upgrade methods. This public file intentionally excludes internal command tables and engineering-only instructions.
